Media and File Transfer Guidelines

There are multiple ways to get your file(s) to us. Choose whichever seems best for your circumstances. You can call us for advice if you are not sure. But however you get to us, be sure to give us the necessary information. Things like file name, format, name of program file was created in, Mac or Windows, etc. Without that information, we have to spend time "exploring" what you give us(which is chargable to you).

FILE TRANSFER: This works great. Go back to our home page, click the button that says "send a file", fill in the background information, click on the browse button at the bottom of the page, find and click on the file you intend to send, and then just click on the send button. Off your file goes. Keep in mind, if you have multiple files to send (like a Quark file along with fonts and images) it is best to compress all the files together first (using Winzip for Windows or Stuffit for Mac), and then send the compressed file.

EMAIL: Yes, you can attach your file to an email and send it to service@westlaprint.com. But often problems occur with email attachments that will cost you, and us, unnecessary time and effort to resolve. Common problems - attached files are too big and are rejected by your isp or ours, or attached files are "corrupted" by your isp's email system when encoding them for tranmission. We suggest using our file transfer service instead to avoid these issues (see above).

DISK MEDIA:Of course you can put all your files on a disk and bring them to us. We recommend the following media in preferred order: CD, floppy disk, 100mb zip disk, 250mb zip disk.

We handle both Mac and Windows disks and files.
